A man murdered his own sister just a week after his teenage son was jailed for life for the murder of a schoolboy, it's been revealed.
Roger Harriott, 55, stabbed his sister Sandra Harriott, a 'bubbly' 56-year-old, at her home in Fartown, West Yorkshire, last week.
On Tuesday, he pleaded guilty at Leeds Crown Court to murdering Sandra in an horrific attack on May 26. She is fondly remembered by her many friends as a much-loved and highly respected member of Netherall Learning Campus High School's Inclusion and Student Support team in Rawthorpe.
He will be sentenced on July 3. Harriott, 55, is the father of 17-year-old Jovani Harriott, who was unmasked as one of the young killers of Huddersfield schoolboy Khayri Mclean just two weeks ago as he was handed a life sentence with a minimum term of 18 years.
