Emergency services raced to the reports of a house fire in the Dores area near Inverness in the Highlands at around 10pm on Monday night.
Four fire crews battled the flames but police have confirmed that the single occupant of the property is currently "unaccounted for".It's believed that the resident was in the house at the time of the fire and his next of kin has been informed.Due to structural damage at the building it has not been possible for staff to gain entrance to the building.The fire happened on the section of the B862, known locally as Dores Hill.The Fort Augustus to Inverness road was closed on Monday night and remained shut throughout Tuesday with traffic being diverted.An investigation has now been launched to establish the.
