Glasgow is on trial after a murder victim was blasted off a quadbike by a shotgun. Abdul Rahman Abubaker was fatally shot in Birmingham just before 11pm on May 15, 2018, following a celebration to mark the start of Ramadan.
The 24-year-old's friends quickly picked him up and put in the back of a car and managed to intercept an ambulance. However, despite the efforts of surgeons, Mr Abubaker could not be saved and he died at hospital in the early hours of the following morning, Birmingham Live reports.
Earlier today, five men, one of whom is Shire Elmi, aged 23, who lives in Glasgow, went on trial for his murder at Birmingham Crown Court.
