Sainsbury’s has banned a man from all stores in the UK “for life” after he claims to have merely criticised the way its staff were parking.
Garry Frost, 62, said he would never to return to Sainsbury’s even if the ban is lifted, unless he gets a sincere apology. He added that he was “totally disgusted” by how he was treated by the supermarket chain and the staff at the Middleton Park Sainsbury’s Local, in Leeds.
Garry told Leeds Live that he had "done nothing wrong" in the lead up to his ban. “I wasn’t discourteous, I wasn’t rude or aggressive," he added."I merely pointed out that it was morally incorrect what they were doing.”According to Garry, the lifetime ban was enforced after he visited the Leeds branch of the store and enquired about the cars parked on the road directly outside the shop.
He’d noticed that cars had regularly been left in the bays all day, despite the one hour no return policy enforced by Leeds City Council, between 8am and 6pm Monday to Saturday.
