Officers received the two-minute emergency call just after 7.30am on June 18. The 999 call was traced back to a public phone box on High Street in Shoreham-by-Sea and officers rushed to the scene.
All staff at Shoreham Police Station were made aware of the incident and were told not to open any mail. CCTV operators and officers from the Force Intelligence Unit helped trace the suspect and establish the feasibility of the threat.
