A dad who noticed he couldn't taste his Chinese takeaway was in intensive care just three days later. Paul Mates, 50, spent a month in hospital after being diagnosed with Covid-19 back in April.

Now experts say he has the highest amount of antibody-rich plasma of anyone on record - and it can be used to help other coronavirus patients, the Manchester Evening News reports.

Paul is now urging other men who’ve had coronavirus to donate as they generally have higher antibody levels.
