City begin their Premier League campaign at Wolves on Monday September 21, with the Carabao Cup game now scheduled to take place on Thursday September 24.
Pep Guardiola's side have won the League Cup for the last three seasons, with their latest defence getting underway against either Bournemouth or Crystal Palace at the Etihad, with a 7.45pm kick off time.
The Blues then face Leicester City at home on Sunday September 27 - their third fixture in six days.And if they progress in the cup, their fourth round tie will take place in the following mid-week slot on September 29 or 30, before.
