Man in hospital with head injury following Leigh crash

Police were called to Windermere Road just after 7pm last night (March 17) after a pedestrian was hit by a car. Greater Manchester Police (GMP) confirmed that the driver of the car stopped at the scene and contacted them to report the incident.

Last night, a GMP spokesman told the Manchester Evening News : “At just after 7pm, police were notified of a road traffic collision where a vehicle has collided with a pedestrian. "The driver has contacted Police, the pedestrian is believed to have been taken to hospital.
