A man has appeared in court charged with attempted murder after a 53-year-old was found seriously injured in a West Lothian Street.
The man was discovered on Shiel walk, Livingstone, before being rushed to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment at around 12.15am on Sunday, October 30.Medics described his condition as ‘serious but stable’ following the alleged assault.
Police launched a probe into the circumstances of the incident before later arresting and charging a 36-year-old suspect in connection.
Paul McManus , from Livingston, has now appeared in private at Livingston Sheriff Court where he is charged with assault to severe injury, permanent disfigurement, danger of life and attempted murder.He was also accused of assaulting police officers and resisting arrest.
