Lewis Povey was on his way to a boozer in Warrington on Monday, April 12, when he was hit by a black BMW, CheshireLIve reports.

The 30-year-old was thrown into the air and suffered from head, leg and back injuries. But despite emergency services advising him to go to hospital for treatment, he carried on to the Original Wire pub and enjoyed a drink as planned.

He later underwent a scan at Whiston Hospital on Friday (April 16) to check for a bleed on the brain, but was given the all clear.
