A passenger was found dead on a Jet2 plane bound for Manchester Airport on Tuesday evening (January 2). The man, who was travelling from Tenerife, was found in the toilet cubicle after fellow passengers noticed it had been locked for some time.
After alerting staff, the devastating discovery was made and the plane landed instead in Cork. A spokesperson for the airline told the Mirror: "Flight LS918 from Tenerife to Manchester diverted to Cork Airport on Tuesday 2nd January, due to a customer requiring medical attention.
