A man has tragically died after being hit by a tram in Salford. Emergency crews descended on the scene at the Harbour City Metrolink stop in the Salford Quays area at around 10.25pm last night (Sunday, October 20).
A huge cordon was put in place as police, fire crews and paramedics responded. Sadly, the man was pronounced dead on the scene.

He was then hit by a tram. No arrests have been made. An investigation into the incident is now underway. Last night, pictures showed a large cordon in place around the tram stop.
