A man says he 'didn't think Covid was as bad as it's made out to be' until he struggled to breathe with ribs that felt 'broken'.
For the first six months of the pandemic, Michael Allen harboured doubts about the true danger of the virus. But after contracting the disease himself the 47-year-old, unable to talk and at his lowest ebb, recorded a harrowing video of himself to warn other like-minded people what was at stake.
Fighting the horrific disease, Michael said he felt like his stomach was ripping. And when seen by a paramedic, he was told if he didn't go to hospital he might not make it another day, the Liverpool Echo reports.
