Manchester City manager Gareth Taylor has penned a one-year contract extension, keeping him at the club until the end of the 2023/24 campaign.
Taylor took charge of City in May 2020 and has secured 79 wins from his 109 games in charge so far. He led the side to Vitality Women’s FA Cup success in his maiden year in charge, with City beating Everton 3-1 in the final at Wembley.
Taylor then oversaw a Continental Tyres League Cup final triumph over Chelsea in 2022 just three months before facing the Blues again in the 2022 FA Cup final at Wembley, losing 3-2 after extra time.
This year Taylor has had the difficult task of rebuilding a squad essentially from scratch after several key players left the Academy Stadium.
