The January transfer window is now open and Manchester City might be inclined to strengthen their squad. Pep Guardiola's side have endured a torrid couple of months, dropping down the Premier League table, exiting the Carabao Cup and facing elimination from the Champions League.
Although City earned a much-needed 2-0 success at Leicester on Sunday, it was just their second win in 13 matches across all competitions and there is still work to do to revive their season.
Guardiola's men sit sixth, four points behind fourth-place Chelsea and a mammoth 14 adrift of leaders Liverpool. Talk has intensified that City could be keen to dip into the January market to attempt to bolster their ranks and give the squad an extra boost going into the second half of the season.
And, according to The Mirror, City have intensified several players who could join the club during the winter window. It's reported that the first arrival might come on a free transfer with Dani Olmo emerging as a transfer target.
