Manchester City top the Premier League table following their 1-0 win over Southampton on Saturday. Erling Haaland's goal proved the difference at the Etihad and the result saw the Blues leapfrog Liverpool for 24 hours at least.
City have a two point advantage over the Reds, who face a crunch clash with Arsenal on Sunday. Pep Guardiola's side will see at least one of their two title rivals drop points and they may well hang on to top spot ahead of their trip to Bournemouth next weekend.
