Manchester United will end the period of brief limbo between Erik ten Hag and Ruben Amorim in charge as they host Leicester City at Old Trafford on Sunday.
The game will be Ruud van Nistelrooy's final one in charge. The Dutchman has largely impressed in his interim role, winning two of three games so far, only failing to beat Chelsea last weekend.
It paves the way for Amorim to arrive, as he will over the international break. For the final time in 2024, clubs will take two weeks out for national sides to work towards World Cup qualification or Nations League progress.
For United, it will be a window between the past and the future. ALSO READ: Van Nistelrooy makes admission on United's £100m striker situation ALSO READ: United give update on Amad and team news for Leicester City game By the time most of the first team players return they will be under a new boss.
