Man City player Jack Grealish makes admission over England World Cup squad place

Jack Grealish has spoken about the prospect of making his World Cup debut later this year. The Manchester City forward will be one of many players hoping to do enough to convince Three Lions' boss Gareth Southgate he is worthy of inclusion in the 26-man squad.

There are little more than six weeks until the first-ever winter staging of the extravaganza in Qatar. Grealish has been in good form in the Premier League of late and knows he must keep that up to get selected.

The 27-year-old who starred in his country's march to the European Championship final on home soil last year — says the chance to pull on the famous white shirt at a World Cup would be "the best feeling ever". He said: "I don't want to jinx it, (but) I need to start performing and scoring goals, getting assists and playing regularly.
