Manchester City hero David Silva is reportedly set to retire due to a complex anterior cruciate ligament injury in his left knee.
The midfield maestro, now 37, apparently sustained the problem in Real Sociedad training this week. Silva had only renewed his contract in May but is said to have outlined his willingness to give up his salary for the year.

Any such decision to hang up his boots has not yet been confirmed by the player himself. Silva left City in 2019 after winning four Premier League titles, two FA Cups, five League Cups and three Community Shields.
