Manchester City have rubbished reports claiming that they are on the verge of agreeing a £160m deal with Tottenham Hotspur to sign Harry Kane.
City are in the market for a new striker this summer, following Sergio Aguero's departure, and Kane is thought to be their top target.It had been claimed that the England captain was 'poised' to make a £160m switch to City and had already agreed a bumper £400,000-a-week pay packet.
However, according to the Manchester Evening News, City have labelled that suggestion 'nonsense'. It is claimed that club sources have stated they will never pay a fee that high for a player.Tottenham are also said to have reiterated their stance that Kane is not for sale.New Spurs boss Nuno Espirito Santo said last week.
