Manchester City are sweating on the fitness of right-back Kyle Walker with the Manchester derby less than 24 hours away. The Blues’ England stalwart injured his foot in a collision during the 4-1 Champions League win over Brugge on Wednesday, and was replaced by Aleks Zinchenko, causing Joao Cancelo to switch flanks from left to right.
But manager Pep Guardiola said that a late decision will have to be taken on Walker, who is borderline for the lunchtime kick-off. “Right now I don’t know, training in a few hours but right now I don’t know,” said Guardiola.
The injury would be a blow to the Blues, who are likely to field a team close to that which beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in September, when Walker was right back and Cancelo
