Another transfer window has ended with little fanfare from Manchester City. However, City have been active this month as it started with Ferran Torres leaving for Barcelona and ended with the signing of Julian Alvarez from River Plate.
Alvarez will remain on loan at River until July at least, and potentially further until the end of 2022, however he has signed a five-and-a-half year contract at the Etihad and was signed for City, rather than to be used as a City Football Group player.
A number of youngsters have left on loan, with players like Taylor Harwood-Bellis and Tommy Doyle returning from spells abroad to join Stoke and Cardiff respectively in the Championship.
Others have left permanently, with the club getting a fee from Sunderland for Patrick Roberts and from MK Dons for Matt Smith.
