Manchester City are confident Sergio Aguero will stay at the Etihad despite the club's two-year ban from the Champions League.
Aguero has a year left on his contract with City, and the UEFA ban has prompted speculation the Argentine could seek a move to realise his dream of winning the Champions League.
City are taking their fight against the financial fair play ban to the Court of Arbitration for Sport - but should that fail, Aguero would be 34 by the time the club next play in Europe's top club competition.
Given Aguero's exceptional service to City and his iconic status among fans, it is understood the club would not stand in his way if he wanted to leave for another European club.
