Manchester City have been placed into Pot 1 of Thursday's UEFA Champions League draw with the new format meaning a number of changes will be made.
Instead of being split into eight groups, the 36 teams will compete in one big league and play eight fixtures to determine who will progress into the knockout phase.
Each club's coefficient rating - determined by performance across the last five UEFA club seasons - has decided how the pots will be separated with City joined alongside Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain, Liverpool, Inter Milan, Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig and Barcelona.
As part of the new format, City will be drawn against two clubs from each pot but they cannot face any other English teams. City also cannot face three teams from the same nation.
