After a close call mid-week, Manchester City boss Gareth Taylor says his players must 'earn their stripes' when they return to Women's Super League action when they welcome Brighton and Hove Albion to the Joie Stadium on Sunday, November 12.
The Sky Blues saw off Liverpool in a 4-3 victory at Prenton Park on Wednesday night, for midweek Continental Cup action. Filippa Angeldal, Jess Park and Chloe Kelly all found the target to keep City on top in Group B.
Taylor started: “I think there were a lot of really good things [against Liverpool], I thought we showed real glimpses at times.
We made quite a number of changes compared to what we did in their first [cup] game against Everton. “I thought there were some really good parts in the way that we played.
