Man charged over Scots play park 'stabbing' after cars crash into children's swing set

A man has been arrested and charged in connection with an alleged stabbing at a playpark in Johnstone which took place just minutes after a car crash.

Officers were called to the scene on Elm Drive at around 2.30pm on Thursday, October 27, following reports of a ‘disturbance’ and road traffic collision.

A 21-year-old man was badly injured and rushed to the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley for treatment to serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Pictures from the scene showed two motors, which had crashed into a children's swing set.Investigators have now charged a 29-year-old man in connection.
