A teenage killer stabbed a young man in the heart during a row and felt "horrible" after doing so, a court has heard.Steven Gilmour was just 17 when he fatally attacked Daryll Wright at a flat in Kilwinning, Ayrshire on May 22 2021.
Darryl, 20, of Coatbridge, Lanarkshire, never recovered after the blade penetrated his heart and he passed away in hospital.Gilmour – now 18 – today faced a murder charge at the High Court in Glasgow.
But the first offender, via his KC Donald Findlay, pled guilty to the reduced charge of culpable homicide, which was accepted by prosecutors.Gilmour was remanded in custody and will learn his fate in the New Year.
The hearing was told a number of young men and women had gathered at the house in Kilwinning.Gilmour had turned up uninvited, but was allowed in.
