Police investigating the death a boy aged three after he was hit by a tractor have charged a man with gross negligence manslaughter, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) confirmed today.

Albie Speakman died following the incident in Tottington, Bury, in July 2022. Today (Tuesday, February 27), GMP said Neil Speakman, 38, of Bentley Hall Road in Bury had been charged with gross negligence manslaughter. "The charge relates to the death of three-year-old Albie Speakman who was killed when he was run over by a small tractor on a farm in Bury in July 2022," said the force in a statement.
