Man charged after pensioner forced to jump of her life as car careered into hedge

Cops have charged a man after allegedly careering his flash car into lampposts and forcing a pensioner to jump for their life in a city street.

Police say they have charged the 21-year-old with a number of driving and drug offences after the alleged incident in Dundee yesterday.

Tayside division say he was driving a blue Mercedes C class when he lost control and struck two lamp posts and landed in a hedge.

During the collision on Explorer Road, he is said to have narrowly missed a 73-year-old woman who was injured when she moved to avoid the car.When officers searched the car they found cocaine and cannabis, although the driver was found not to be under the influence at the time.He will appear at court at a later date.Tayside Roads
