Two boys have been charged after a woman's handbag containing £7,000 was snatched. In the robbery, in Blackley, a bid was made to drag the victim from her car, police said.
In a statement Greater Manchester Police said: "Two boys have been charged in relation to the robbery of a handbag containing £7,000 in Blackley in May 2020. "The boys – aged 16 and 17 and who cannot be named for legal reasons – have been charged with one count of robbery.They have been remanded in custody and are due to appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court on Monday 18 May 2020. "At around 2.30pm on Sunday 10 May 2020, officers were called to reports of a robbery on Leywell Road in Blackley.
