A man has been charged after a mum died in a fatal crash involving a bin lorry. Kevin Marsh, 43, will appear at Liverpool Magistrates Court today (July 15) charged with causing death by dangerous driving and causing death by driving whilst uninsured.
Mum-of-four Michelle Atherton, 47, was treated at the scene in St Helens for a serious head injury after a crash between a white Ford Fiesta and a refuse wagon.

Officers are still appealing for witnesses as investigations continue. Detective Sergeant Kurt Timpson from the MATRIX Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: “Our thoughts remain with Michelle’s family and they are still being supported by specially trained officers.
