Man bundled into police car claims he was 'targeted for wearing tracksuit'

A man who was detained for refusing to give his details to a police officer in footage which has gone viral has spoken out. Nino Romano believes he was "targeted" by the officer before being manhandled into a police car "for wearing a tracksuit and coat".

The 21-year-old, who tells the officer he lives in the area and was heading to work, believes it is a reflection of "how the police act to the younger generation".

Since the video began spreading far and wide online, West Midlands Police have admitted the officer's conduct "fell below" what the force would expect, reports BirminghamLive.

Nino told the BBC: "I've just got used to it, that's how the police act to the younger generation. What is your view?
