Police taped off a house after a woman was stabbed in a horrific attack in Wigan. An attempted murder probe was launched after the incident at a house on Tintern Avenue, in Astley, in the early hours of Monday morning (October 28).
The stabbing, understood to be a 'domestic incident' was first reported at around 5.15am. Crime scene investigators (CSI) also attended the incident and sealed off a property.
The victim, a woman, whose age has not been confirmed, was rushed to hospital from the scene with serious injuries. Her condition is not described as life-threatening. It is understood the suspect and victim know one another. A police van could also be seen parked up on the driveway, which was sealed off by police tape throughout Monday amid investigations.
