A man has been arrested in connection with a Kilmarnock serious assault.A 48-year-old man was rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow after the incident on Knockinlaw Road at its junction with Western Road just before 2pm on Friday.Police have confirmed that a 35-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident and is due to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court tomorrowA Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Police received a report of a 48-year-old man having been seriously assaulted on Knockinlaw Road at its junction with Western Road in Kilmarnock shortly before 2pm on Friday, October 7.“The 48-year-old man was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment for serious but not life-threatening injuries.“A 35-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident and is due to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Monday, October 10.” For the latest news and breaking news visit our website.
