Man arrested and charged over assault on woman in Prestwick Main Street

Police have arrested and charged a man in connection with an assault on a woman in Prestwick.The 46-year-old was apprehended in relation to the incident which took place around 1.30am on Sunday, November 13 near to Prestwick Cross.A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal and the man will appear at Ayr Sheriff Court in due course.
