A woman suffered serious injuries after she fell from a third floor balcony during an alleged 2am assault in a Manchester flat.
The incident happened at an apartment block on Regent Road today (Friday), prompting a significant response from the emergency services.
The woman miraculously survived the fall but remains in hospital, with what police describe as 'serious injuries' although she is expected to survive.
Detectives have started an investigation into the incident and have arrested a 28-year-old man on suspicion of section 18 assault, also known as assault causing grievous bodily harm.
