Man arrested after major crash on busy Scots road

A man has been arrested after a major crash on a busy Edinburgh road.Emergency services raced to Cowgate at around 6.55pm on Thursday, November 2 following reports of a two-vehicle collision.

The road is currently closed off while investigations are carried out.Police said the male driver has now been arrested. It is unclear if anyone was injured in the crash, reports Edinburgh Live.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were called around 6.55pm to a report of a two vehicle crash on Cowgate, Edinburgh. "Emergency services are in attendance and the road is currently closed.

One man, the driver, has been arrested in connection and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances."
