A man has been arrested after a three-year-old boy died in a dog attack in Rochdale. Daniel Twigg was attacked outside a property on Carr Lane in Milnrow on Sunday afternoon (May 15).
The youngster was rushed to hospital from the scene but tragically died a short time later. Greater Manchester Police have now confirmed that a 48-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident after handing himself in.
He was arrested under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991 and remains in custody. READ MORE: Boy, 3, who died in dog attack named as Daniel Twigg The force has also revealed that a dog which was put down after the incident was a Cane Corso.
Several other dogs have also been seized and enquiries in relation to them are ongoing. Police said Daniel was outside his home with a number of dogs before the incident.
