Man arrested after £200,000 of jewellery stolen in burglary

A 40-year-old man has been arrested after a large quantity of jewellery worth approximately £200,000 was stolen from a business in Middleton.

Police say they were on patrol in the early hours of Thursday morning (May 25) when they were called to reports of two males forcing entry to a business near Middleton Way.

Officers have since recovered a 'substantial' amount of the stolen jewellery. A 40-year-old man has since been arrested on suspicion of burglary and was taken into police custody for questioning.
