A man armed with 'bladed weapons' arrested on suspicion of kidnap after cops stormed a Greater Manchester Hospital remains in custody.
He is being quizzed by detectives this morning (Wednesday) following the drama at Royal Oldham Hospital on Tuesday evening (August 30).
Greater Manchester Police said a man 'gained access to a car' outside the entrance to A&E. The force said the man was 'armed' - with 'bladed weapons' - and that he was 'detained safely' after armed response cops were scrambled to the hospital.
There were no reports of injuries. A spokesman for the force confirmed the arrested man remained in custody on Wednesday morning.
