Two children from Royal Manchester Children's Hospital (RMCH) sat proudly alongside Pep Guardiola and the rest of the Manchester City squad for the official 2022/23 squad photo.

The first team have a picture taken every year at the end of the transfer window, and all six new signings had arrived in time for this year's shot including deadline day Manuel Akanji.

Aymeric Laporte was also there in full kit despite his long-term injury keeping him out until the end of September at the earliest.

This year, City decided to make some additions to their photo. After the relaxation of social distancing measures put in place during the early months of the pandemic in 2020, the club were able to meet patients from RMCH for one of the first times in over two years.
