A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of Andre Marshall. Andre, from Whalley Range, was shot dead on May 20, 2015, and his body was found near St Clement's Church.

Abdul Ahsan, 27, was extradited from Pakistan to the UK to face a murder charge. He appeared before Manchester Magistrates Court this morning (Wednesday).

Mr Ahsan's solicitor, Mr Paredas, told the court the defendant had arrived in the UK yesterday (Tuesday). Mr Ahsan confirmed his name to the court and later his date of birth. Try MEN Premium now for FREE...
