A man and woman have appeared in court charged with abduction, attempted murder and robbery following an incident at a home in Glasgow.
Emergency services were called to Carntyne Road after the alarm was raised at around 5.30pm on Saturday. John McGinley, 57, and Stacey McGinley, 39, were arrested and charged in connection with the incident and they appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday.The pair, who are from Glasgow, were both charged with abduction, assault to severe injury, permanent disfigurement, permanent impairment, robbery and attempted murder.Mr McGinley also faced a charge of threatening or abusive behaviour while Ms McGinley was charged with attempting to defeat the ends of justice.Both were committed for further examination and remanded in custody.
