Man and woman arrested after car flipped on to roof following smash in Oldham

A man and a woman have been arrested after a car flipped onto its roof following a two vehicle smash in Oldham. The pair are being held on suspicion of stealing a stolen car following the collision on Rochdale Road, in Shaw, at around 9.35am this morning.

They remain in custody for questioning. A woman, aged in her 30s, who was inside the car, has been taken to hospital with a neck injury.

Another man, who was also inside the car on its roof, suffered a head injury. Their injuries are thought to be minor. A section of Rochdale Road was sealed off this morning while emergency services attended the scene.
