Man accused of robbery held knife to social worker's cheek before 'change of heart', trial hears

Stephen Hastie, 33, is accused of threatening the support worker and her client with a steak knife in January 2020. Hastie, of Cartmel Walk, Middleton, is standing trial at the Nightingale Crown Court in Stockport.

The victim, a social worker, arrived at her client's flat in Middleton at around 4.30pm on January 6, the court heard. The pair were sitting in the living room when Hastie is alleged to have entered the property.
