Man accused of murdering Steven McMyler told paramedics 'Liverpool guys whacked me over the head'

Lewis Peake, 30, of James Street, Little Lever, is alleged to have recruited four others to assault Mr McMyler in an attempt to take his 'very valuable' Rolex watch.

Mr McMyler was found with serious injuries in the grounds of Wigan Parish Church on August 6 last year, where he was later pronounced dead despite the best efforts of medics.

In the fourth day of evidence at Manchester Crown Court on Thursday (April 22), the court heard that Mr Peake left Wigan town centre with a head wound, which he was trying to stop
