A man aged 77 and a woman of 60 have been quizzed by detectives on suspicion of assault after the death of a baby boy. The baby tragically died in hospital in Manchester last Saturday, police said.

He was taken to the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital, but passed away on March 5, the force added. The man and woman were arrested on suspicion of assault.
They haven't been named. Both have since been released on police bail pending further enquiries, added the force in a statement.
