Amanda Louise Holden (born 16 February 1971) is an English media personality, actress, television presenter, singer, and author. She has judged on the television talent show competition Britain's Got Talent since the show began its run in 2007 on ITV. As an actress, Holden played the role of Mel in Kiss Me Kate (1998–2000), Geraldine Titley in The Grimleys (1999-2001), Sarah Trevanion in Wild at Heart (2006–2008), Lizzie, the Ring Mistress, in Big Top (2009), and the title role in Thoroughly Modern Millie, for which she was nominated for a Laurence Olivier Award.

Man, 61, in coma after thug 'curb stomps' him in horrifying street attack

This is the shocking moment an elderly man was brutally assaulted in the street by a thug repeatedly kicking his victim in the head.

The unidentified attacker struck Yao Pan Ma, 61, at least six times and left him in a critical condition, having been placed in a medically induced coma.

Mr Ma was collecting cans in East Harlem, New York at around 8.30pm on Friday night when the attacker struck. It's the latest in spate of attacks in the city appearing to target Asian Americans,.

The victim had previously worked in a local restaurant but was laid off due to the Covid pandemic. His devastated wife, who he has been married to for 31 years, called for the man who did this to her husband to be made to "pay".
