A man has been charged in connection with spate of suspected shoplifting and a business burglary in Bolton. A joint probe was launched by GMP's Bolton’s Neighbourhood Crime Team and Bolton South Neighbourhood team following a 'series of shoplifting instances' earlier this month.
Officers were also investigating a reported burglary at a business. A man was arrested on Wednesday (January 10) in connection with the incidents.

He was remanded into custody to appear at Stockport Magistrates' Court today (January 11). Detective Sergeant Carla Deighton of Bolton's Neighbourhood Crime Team said: "We continue to work quickly to investigate all burglaries and shoplifting instances thoroughly and effectively to ensure we ultimately achieve justice for victims.
