A man who died after being fatally stabbed in a park in Sheffield has been named as 24-year-old Sacad Ali. Emergency services were called at 4.35am yesterday morning (March 9) to Ponderosa Park in the Netherthorpe area of the city after a man was found with multiple stab wounds.
Despite the efforts of police officers and paramedics at the scene, the man died, South Yorkshire Police has said. He has since been formally identified as Sheffield man Sacad Ali.
His family have been informed and are being supported by police officers, according to the force. The family has asked for their privacy to be respected at this difficult time.
A scene remains in place in Ponderosa Park and the Oxford Street area as officers conduct further enquiries.
